Flower Bar Workshops for Senior Living Communities
Flower Bar Workshops for Senior Living Communities
A gentle, seated flower activity residents can enjoy together — no standing, no rushing, just beautiful blooms and good company.
A Gentle Flower Bar Activity Made for Senior Living Communities
Activity directors are always looking for something residents genuinely look forward to — and a flower bar gives them exactly that. Instead of standing at a busy floral cart, residents gather at a seated table, choose their favorite blooms, and build a hand-tied bouquet at their own pace. It's calm, social, and accessible for residents with mobility needs, memory care considerations, or anyone who simply prefers to sit.
We built this format specifically with senior living communities in mind — every detail, from table height to pacing, is designed around a seated group. It's a beautiful way for a community to give residents something to look forward to, spark conversation, and send everyone back to their room with a bouquet they made themselves.
We bring the mobile flower bar to senior living and assisted living communities throughout Howard County, Baltimore City and County, Columbia, Ellicott City, and surrounding Maryland communities.
How the Seated Workshop Works
Residents gather around a seated table setting, not a standing bar — everything is arranged to be reached comfortably from a chair. Fresh blooms are laid out within easy reach, and residents choose their favorites and build a hand-tied bouquet using the ribbon and tools we provide.
We offer several ways to bring the bouquet bar to your community: an Equipment-Only Floral Setup where your team supplies the blooms; a Fully Sponsored Guided Workshop where LMF provides the flowers and guides residents through the experience; or Community-Supported Pay as You Bloom, where the community reserves the experience and residents select and pay for their bouquets individually. Communities may also subsidize part of each bouquet or sponsor a set number of participants. Whichever format fits your activity calendar, the pacing stays relaxed and unhurried from start to finish.
A Bouquet to Brighten the Room
Every resident leaves the workshop with a bouquet they made themselves — something to keep on a nightstand or windowsill as a small, ongoing reminder of a good afternoon. For many residents, it's less about the flowers and more about having something to do, something to talk about, and something to be proud of.
Choose the Right Flower Bar Format for Your Community
Equipment-Only Floral Setup — From $600
Your community supplies the flowers, and LMF provides the styled setup — the floral cart, seated table arrangement, delivery, setup, and breakdown. A budget-friendly way to bring the flower bar experience to residents.
Fully Sponsored Guided Workshop — Flowers Included — Custom Quote
Your community pays one group rate that covers the equipment, flowers, supplies, and a guided resident experience led by an LMF designer. Ideal for activity calendars that want a fully done-for-you experience.
Community-Supported Pay as You Bloom — Host Fee + Resident-Paid Bouquets
The community reserves the experience with a host fee that covers the styled setup, equipment, delivery, staffing, and breakdown. Residents then purchase their bouquets individually. Communities may also choose to subsidize part of each bouquet, sponsor a set number of residents, or guarantee a minimum level of participation. Final pricing is based on location, event duration, expected attendance, and bouquet selections.
A minimum booking requirement may apply — structured as either a host fee or a bouquet guarantee, depending on your community's preference.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this workshop appropriate for residents with limited mobility?
Yes — the entire experience is designed as a seated activity. Residents build their bouquet from a chair at a table, with blooms and tools arranged within easy reach. It's also gentle enough for residents with memory care considerations.
Do you provide the flowers, or does our community need to supply them?
It depends on the format you choose. With an Equipment-Only Floral Setup, your community supplies the blooms. With a Fully Sponsored Guided Workshop, LMF brings the flowers and a designer as part of one group rate. With Community-Supported Pay as You Bloom, the community reserves the experience with a host fee, and residents select and pay for their own bouquets individually — communities can also subsidize part of each bouquet or sponsor a set number of participants.
How do residents sign up and pay for a Pay as You Bloom event?
We recommend advance registration through your Activities or Life Enrichment Director rather than walk-up payment during the event, since not every resident carries a card or uses digital payment. Depending on your community's preference, residents can pay the community directly, pay LMF directly, or have charges added through your internal resident account system where available.
How many residents can participate at once?
We can scale seated tables to fit small activity groups or larger common-room gatherings. Let us know your typical group size and room layout, and we'll recommend the right format.
How long does the workshop take?
Most workshops run 45–60 minutes, which keeps the pacing relaxed without overextending residents. We're happy to adjust timing to fit your activity schedule.
Can this be scheduled as a recurring activity?
Yes — many communities book the flower bar as a monthly or seasonal activity, including as a Pay as You Bloom event where participation stays optional. Recurring bookings help residents build anticipation for it as a regular part of the calendar.
What areas of Maryland do you serve for senior living communities?
We serve the greater Maryland area, including Howard County, Baltimore City and County, Montgomery County, Prince George's County, and surrounding regions. Contact us to confirm availability for your community.
